Telemedicine as stated above is basically the electronic transfer of medical information from a referring health care provider at one site to a consulting physician or user at another site utilizing the information technology. The health care provider here is SUPER SPECIALTY HOSPITAL which is expected to have a well equipped Telemedicine Center and a pool of Doctors who may be among the top surgeons and physicians. On the other side there may be consulting physician at Remote Hospital or a health worker or user in a rural ICT based center.

Since Telemedicine utilizes information and telecommunications technology to transfer medical information for diagnosis, therapy and education. The information may include medical images, patient medical records, output data from medical devices and sound files. The telemedicine interaction may involve two-way live audio and video visits between patients and medical professionals, transmitting a patient medical file from a primary care provider to a specialist, therefore, the higher bandwidth of the internet connectivity is preferred. For ensuring proper communication / transfer of data, the telemedicine software by i-Diagnosis Technologies on both sides of computers uses very high compression techniques so that the quality and speed of data is ensured.

The software used by i-Diagnosis Technologies is web based and both ends that is at the specialty-end as well at user-end, a login ID is given through which all the members will be able to get the telemedicine consultation through this network.

Telemedicine is planned to be provided from each location based on (a) planned timings booked by the remote location in advance. In this situation medical case history and available data of the patient is stored and forwarded by the remote location and the super specialist Hospital ensures availability of the specialist to ensure quality diagnosis and treatment. (b) Emergencies from the remote locations are attended immediately by the doctor on duty at the super specialist Hospital based on the live data transfer provided by the i-Diagnosis Technologies’ software. The doctor on duty contacts and organizes availability of the super-specialist to ensure quality treatment.

  6.  In case of emergencies Intensive care patients can be monitored from the remote location on continuous basis and can be treated by the local health service provider under the expert guidance. In case any serious patient is required to be shifted to the super specialty provider, the data can be transferred before patient reaches there and thus precious critical time can be saved.
